Frustrating...new set of MP10's and a WXM module. Using this doc to setup the MP10's with no success. When I get to the second step of attaching the pump... 'Now tap Set- Should be Blue/Yellow' ... mine turns 'red/blue'.

So I contacted Neptune support and they responded with this:

What is the status lights on the WXM module? (Apex status and Wireless Status lights)
If the Vortech pumps plugged in to a wall outlet or a Energy Bar?
If the above answer are: (which mine are)

Yes
Both Solid Green
Wall outlet

And they are still missing, then please do the following:

  1. Reset the pumps to factory settings (Mode+set, mode, set)
  2. Unplug WXM
  3. Reset the pumps again
  4. Delete WXM (Configuration> module setup)
  5. Plug WXM back in
Attach pumps (mode+set, tap set 6 times)

...which I did, but no luck, same thing...turns red/blue. Plus, I can see the new outputs for the Vortech pumps, but they say "MISSING" at the top. So I sent them back this and they now responded with this...

"When I looked up Ecotech manual it appears when you are trying to connect the pumps to the WXM you are trying to upgrade the pump firmware. So the pumps are in a weird mode it looks like."

...which I think is BS, cuz I did NOT try to upgrade the firmware of the MP10's, in fact it even says not to in the doc i posted above..." Note: If you are unable to attach the pump please Contact Neptune Systems Support. Do NOT attempt to update the Firmware on the pump unless it was manufactured before April 2010. "

....so now it seems like it's gonna be a case of call ecotech...who will say call Neptune...etc etc...

Anybody seen this or got any suggestions ?...about to send em all back and keep my dang 1K gyres !

This may seem like a dumb question, but on the MP10 driver, is the W in the upper right hand corner lit up?

Just wanted to check, possibly @DarthSimon or @rkpetersen might know, they're controller experts and might have thoughts on how to connect :)

No such thing as a dumb question...yes it is.
No such thing as a dumb question...yes it is.
I found on a different post, one guy suggesting to try and connect them one at a time...this...

1) Disconnect the WXM and delete all the OLD pumps outlets from the controller .
2) Reboot the controller and check if any OLD pumps outlets are still showing ( check the hidden tiles also )
3) Connect the WXM , reload the WXM firmware and the WXM RF firmware , when the progess bar show completed , disconnect the aquabus cable from the WXM , wait a minute and plug it back ( this will reboot the WXM )
4) Proceed to attach one pump with all other pumps powered OFF from the wall plug .
5) Proceed to attach the second pump ( make sure all others are OFF from the wall plug ) , pumps need to be attached one by one .
6) Those pumps do not need to have their firmware updated .

..I didn't do any of the firmware updates, but did try steps 4 and 5...no luck !

How new is the MP10(Manufacture date)? Did it come with a Mobius Ready Sticker on the box?

What !! Hadn't seen that...wow.
The new ones are coming with Mobius firmware preinstalled which changes the language it uses to communicate to the same as the G5 Radions and Versas. Because of this the WXM will not be able to communicate with them.

Just to add, I am running the most current AOS on Apex...

AOS Update
This Apex is currently running the latest AOS.

Ever get this working? Been dealing with the same thing. I do know that I can get both the blue/yellow flash and the red/blue flash by doing different button combos. Both are in the manual and I mistakenly have done both.
