Hey everyone,
This morning I noticed my little domino clown not doing so well, I have the pair by themselves in a seperate tank than my DT, but the tanks were sharing a sump previously (not since this morning when I noticed) I'm not sure what this could be, I did notice stringy white poop, is it worms? The fish in my DT are not showing any symptoms currently. Water params are 0 ammonia, .25 nitrites, 5 nitrates, not sure what cause the spike in nitrites, was at 0 the previous test. Fish have been in the tank for about a month. I could use some advice! Symptoms are similar for a variety of things...

Welcome to r2r!
What are the other symptoms when you say not doing well?

white stringy poo could be a sign of internal parasites. This can be treated in both tanks with. If one fish has it they all have it.
1tbl spoon of food
1 scoop metroplex
1 scoop focus
For 14 days.

Well if you look in the pic, there is a small white mark developing near his eye and there's whitish skin around his mouth, almost looks like dead skin

Well, in the pic you can see a small white spot developing near his eye, and there is white ish skin around his mouth, almost like dead skin. Breathing doesn't seem laboured.

The loose skin looks like its could be brooklynella.

I was leaning towards that too, but i don't see any mucus type substance covering the skin, its better described as flaky

Example where it looks more flaky than snotty.

ugh, I'm not stoked by the idea of having to do a fallow period... ***.

The small white mark could be the start of Brook, or something else.

If the stringy white poop remains consistent for more than a week, then intestinal worms and/or internal flagellates is a safe assumption. You would food soak General Cure for those.
