Looks like some sort of sponge. I could t be wrong though because I'm not 100%. If someone agrees on the sponge I wouldn't worry about it.

Nope. Aiptasia is a pest anemone. There are several different ways to get rid of it. It seems the easiest way is to cover them with super glue or inject them with boiling water.
