Help, I got a new torch on Saturday. Thay day and Sunday it looked good. Wasn't opening all the way but opened a little and looked healthy.

Today I came home amd it looks like this. What can I do? Is this torch dying?

Salinity 1.025
Ph 8.2
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 1ppm
Phosphates .04
Flow is medium-strong

Lighting is LED and I have it at the bottom on the tank off to the side to get used to it.

Hard to tell but that looks like it might not have tissue growth on the outer part of the skeleton, which would mean it is dying, but it is a blurry pic though so it could have just been walked on by a shrimp or crab or something and have retracted fully for a bit. I would wait a bit to see if it comes back out before doing anything.
What is calc and alk looking like right now? Is there like a brownish substance on the outer skeletal rim that can be blown of by a turkey baster?

Ahh I forgot alk and calcium

Alk is 8.0
Calcium is 400

There does n9t appear to be a brownish substance on the outer rim.

I dont see any bjd but it is weird for that amount of recession in one day, tissue should be grown over those ridges and there even when the coral retracts, so there may have been damage before you got this. I dont think this is your fault just happens sometimes, in a new tank (less than 1 year old) coral death is easier in general, but I will default to others to see if they can help more.
