Help,(not an emergency) water change issue with a dummy

So I think I know the answer, so more me venting
my 55 gallons of fresh saltwater,may have got a tiny amount of store bought live sand in it , ( 1-2 tsp) as I used a glass to scoop the sand then rinsed it in the water scooping out some water for my pico tank. Had a hunch as it smelled like tank and not new water and voila ammonia is 1.0
Now what, nothing in their other than the sides and water column to cycle , not desperate for a water change but think I gotta dump it or wait too long.
Does the live sand have ammonia, figured was just seeded as the sand does not smell
I have 10 pounds dry rock and bottle of biospira still,but
I won’t rely on this or dr Tim’s,for quick use. I have two small tanks I used drops of the ammonia as per direction and their stuff and still nh4 of 3 after a week and barely any nitrites or nitrates. Granted they will cycle much faster, but not instant
My main tank could likely handle it but why stress it.

Chalk this up to a learning exp to not interchange tools/containers

Just to clarify - the live sand got added to the tank or your saltwater storage? What's the size of your tank?

Tank is 55 gallon, storage is 55 gallon with 30 gallons water
Also using food grade bucket liners.
Noted some black slime on th mixing pump in there so will give a good clean.
I store the water 1-2 weeks as hard to fill all at once due to limited space
Salt is b ionic
Never thought to check ammonia before but wonders if this is just from sitting around, have not used buckets pumps other than for fw back and forth , why I think it’s the sand

I will also add, when I was in hobby previous there was always a smell and slimy feel on inside on cans that is similar,even tho kept clean, so I dunno but not risking using this water

I plan to mix a fresh batch and test nh4 again tho and see- new bucket and bag in bucket

For giggles I remeasured to make sure I did not use a poorly washed vial
Nh43 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
Brain fog,operator errorSorry for any waste of time

but anyone else have the musty odor and slime on their buckets?

I am worried about a fungal issue, gonna start running up on my salt storage to be safe
