Got this guy today. Super bright under blues. Awesome frag man gave me a few pieces of live rock and this guy was on there. Any ideas?
Also is the hitchhiking worm behind it harmless?

Good to know, so apparently I have a porcupine like worm in my tank now lol.that is a mushroom coral and that is a bristle worm is a scavenger but I take them out and after you end up with a couple figures full of bristles from picking up stuff they hide under you won't be much of a fan of them either
I read a lot on the subject and it seems the only reason people consider them bad is because they are unsightly. They actually help the cleanup crew with any dead matter.I found numerous bristle worms inside my rocks, I took the rocks out for about 24 hours, they all died and came out of the rocks, but some won't die, are they dangerous for the tank and how to avoid having them in there?
How do I tell the difference? They both look the same in pics.I hate to be "that guy" but even though that is a type of bristle worm it also looks to be a Bearded Fire Worm!! Not just a CC member but rather a ferocious predator of all types of coral. Just my opinion though and I could be wrong......

I hate those things! If you have 1 you probably have more. There's fish out there that will eat them, Neon dottyback and various types of Wrasses...
That was a big help, ty.Regular Bristleworms are normally red with evenly lined small bristles along the sides...
Fireworms are normally red with almost a rainbow iridescent on top of their body, also unlike the straight line bristles of the Reg one, Fireworms bristles are normally in tight little clumps almost like little paint brushes. (<<best I could describe) Also bristle worms normally stay limba small, while fire worms can get really BIG.....
I personally don't like either but most consider bristle worms safe CC. Until you get stung. [emoji6]
If you don't want to get a fish that'll eat them just do a quick Google search on bristle worm traps. Good luck and happy reefing!
