just set up my first salt water aquarium made the salt water and started the filter. Just wondering what the next month should look like for me to keep starting the aquarium I also have sand in it and installing air flow and heater tonight but wondering what the time frame should look like for next steps and what they are.

Check out this guide

Got pics of your start up? Would help to describe your plan and goals with the tank too :)
Yeah my plan is to hopefully get a pair of clown fish since it’s only a 10 gallon tank. But also open down the road to maybe corals. Just don’t know the best routes to go so looking for ideas as well.

Rock scape, you did that right, that’s vital.
And flow….need that too…
Through next month, lower light especially white, red.
Keep salinity right on point at all times.
You’ll need an ATO to do that perfectly.

Add some food to get the cyclus started :) test for Ammonia, nitrite and Nitrate. If first 2 are steady 0, go ahead with the first fish For the meantime enjoy watching the rocks and maybe nice to keep the lights off to reduce algea growth

Would you recomend me getting an Ato or just doing it my self

An ATO, all the way, don't try to do it by hand.

I'd personally suggest just keeping your lights off for the first month, assuming you have dry rock and sand.

As others have mentioned, you'd need to get your cycle going, so look into cycling your tank.

Good luck with your new tank!
