hi,

i purchased a pretty nice ultra mush, it was on a big L shape rock.
In order to fix it at it's permanent spot, i tried to remove part of the rock on the back side of it.... bad idea, the rock literraly shatered in multiple piece. That was ~1 to 1.5 months ago. since that incident the shape of the mush was kinda in C shape as shown on picture, it was healthy, nice color and 'inflating'. i was hoping it would eventualy get flat and take a normal shape.

Today i found the mush on the bottom of the tank, it has detached from the small piece it was attached to.

The much still has it's colors, bright green, blue-grey-purple and white. but it's shape since the initial incident remains odd. I glued it to a plug... good idea or bad ?

what would you do ?

It may not hold fast to the plug as the mush may slime and release itself. I'd recomend placing in a small container of rock rubble (like something you would get from a Chinese soup container) and cover with veil material or plastic knitting sheet in a lie flow area. Given some time it will find a happy home on one of the rocks then you can move and mount the attached mushroom on the rock wherever you would like. Just a suggestion for future.

That's where all my loosies go. Lol It may blow around to a spot you don't want it though. If any way to contain it to one small area, that may help. Excuse their shrunk up look. It's lights out in fuge at moment so cut on for a pic real quick.

I usually put in a low fliw corner with rubbles on the bottom and a small rubble on part of the shroom. So it doesn't move away. A few days and its attached to the rubbles on the bottom. Then glue that to a plug or a big rock

I have a lot of shrooms. They are very hardy. They will detach when not happy with flow or light and try to move to another spot. I have had zero success gluing shrooms. They just float away. You can try holding it in place with toothpicks and rubber bands. Again, this has not worked for me but has worked for others. When I have a rogue shroom, I jam it in a crevice and most of the time they attach. That is a beautiful specimen you have!

update, the mush seems to have atached to a small rock... shape still in 'C' kinda shape. i hope it will get flat.. such a nice specimen :(
