Recently got a new fish, had him a few days maybe 5 to be exact I left out of town for the day Saturday I come home Saturday night late to my guy with some serious damage any ideas and what I need to treat ?

Appears to be bacterial. Water change and you can treat with either maracyn or Metronidazole. Continue to feed and add vitamins such as selcon to its food
 
I appreciate everyones response and my picture isn’t the best. He does have small fine sand size white spots you can not see in the picture on his fins and body.
 
Also has labored breathing and doesn’t swim much kind of lays on his side.
 
This is on his left side no rub or sore though, left side also has the same specs.

Hope you have it in a QT tank. Check with @Humblefish . maybe you can try something.:(
 
Hopefully you can see more of his side and fins with the spots as well. Looks like bruising towards the tail from the other side being an open sore :(

We’re any other fish in the QT? That was uronema you were dealing with for certain.
 
Your fish looks real rough and probably won’t make it. Hopefully the fish is not in your DT and in QT.

unfortunately he was...now i am figuring out how to treat them in the QT i set up last night and the DT -facepalm-
 
i didnt think uronema infected that fast sorry to hear about it
im new and didnt know even what that was...i watched him like a hawk except for saturday...and i didnt have my QT set up so im kicking myself, note to self never buy a fish spontaneously.
