Well I screwed up. 40 gal frag tank. measured 1280 mag and for some reason I dosed 60 mil Red Sea Mag. Now off the chart. what the heck should i do?

How many galloms is your tank?
Red sea magnesium liquid says
1ml will raise the Mg level of 100 liters (25gal) by 1ppm.

So unless it's a nano, I'd suspect testing error..

Ya. I just started mixing another 100 gal. It's going to be several hours. Everything was doing great in there. Ya think there maybe any issues ?

Ha missed that in first post. If your using red sea liquid magnesium it should not have made it go off chart reading. What test kit, many report high levels being erroneously reported with the red sea kit.

I would retest the level maybe and see if you can repeat the reading.

Snails may be affected if it is really high but people will raise their mag levels to fight off bryopsis.

#reefsquad, any concerns here?

As bif24701 said, high magnesium shouldn't be that much of a problem. At work, we've over dosed on mag on a few of our systems, and everything has been absolutely the same.

It's ok, and I like heals of bread, yep, I'm a baker
Your ok now, but watch Ca and KH, the extra Mg will affect your other parameters
