Hello, I'm looking to upgrade my current skimmer, I'm using a Reef Glass skimmer on my 20T reef its located in my 10 gallon sump. Right now I'm looking at the icecap k1 nano, or the k250. The k250 would be very tall but it wouldn't bother me aesthetically as it's under the stand but I'm not sure the water level would be high enough in the sump regardless of what chamber I put it in, it would probably be better for my bio load as well. Any advice from anyone using one in a sump would be nice. In the 20t I have over 80 corals, sps, Lps, softies, and have a Dottyback, a bengali cardinal, 2 snowflake davinci clowns, and a damsel. So I would definitely consider this tank to have a large bio load, my nitrates and phosphates not too bad and I have a ton of filtration but would like a nice skimmer. If you think the k1 nano would be sufficient let me know but I feel like it wouldn't. I'm open to suggestions for other skimmers as well, the body of the k250 is 4.75×3.5" and that is really really pushing it, I have to measure my sump again to be sure and I'd have to rearrange things but If water height won't be an issue I think k2 if not k1 is a good choice.
