I knew I couldn't stay away forever and I'm not starting my tank back up right away. I am starting to look for "new" equipment and would like to get a different skimmer. I have used ASM G4 skimmer for years and love it but its got too big of a foot print for my "new" sump. I have a bubble magus that I can use but I don't like it. It's too sensitive for my taste. So can someone give me a hand in picking out a skimmer that will fit a 12"x18" space and work good on a ~150 gal system? Also I would like to stay right around the $300-$400 price point. TIA!!

I have looked into them and have heard pretty good things about them. Thanks!

I have the nwb150 and it's great. Great buy and value at 200$!!

Ok after doing a little research I believe I'll try to use my bubble magus 150PRO again but would like to replace the atman pump with the auqbee 2000/I. Does anyone have a lead on where to buy one? I have done the standard search (Google and Bing) and can't find anywhere selling the stand alone pump. :/

iTech; Vertex Omega series; New Gen Reef Octopus just to name a few...

Thanks for the input! I have decided to give the bubble magus another shot with a different pump. If that doesn't work out I will try something else but I think it will be fine.

Now onto the next issue. I am thinking about flow. I have been reading up on a gyre type flow and it interests me. How many, if any, of you are running that type of flow in your display? How are you accomplishing it? What pumps and controllers? And do you think it would work in a 125 Marineland tank (dual rear overflows)? Thanks in advance once again!!

I've still got the bubble magus skimmer. I'm just replacing the pump. I have already looked at the SCA skimmers. They look almost identical to the BM.... Probably are in all actuality.
