I am in the process of closing escrow on a new project house and figured I would consult some of the experts on here regarding my home's water system. The house is located in Torrance California which is a Los Angeles suburb which has pretty decent water quality. I will link a water report below. I am looking at a Pentair Whole House Water Filter/Softener combo (https://www.pelicanwater.com/water-softeners/water-filter-and-salt-free-softeners-with-pro-uv/). Does anyone have any experience this system or a similar system? Since we will be repiping a good chunk of the house this will be the perfect time. Then I am looking at getting a new RODI system as my current system is staying with the house I am selling (Part of the deal, no clue why lol). I am looking at the Spectrapure system. Initial cost is not much of a concern. I want the system that will produce the least amount waste water possible. Does anyone see any issues with the water softener alternative and the rodi system conflicting?

Water Quality Report:

I don't see any conflict with water softener and the RODI system conflicting. You might burn through resin a bit faster, since the water softener replaces Calcium 2+ ions with Sodium 1+ ions, but I don't really know how DI resin works so it might have the same burn through rate.

Copy-pasting my 4-stage RODI comparison chart, it has a waste water comparison category for ya ;) :
