I just got about 2 months ago some smaller frags. Quite a few, well about 15 anyhow. Some are doing fantastic to say the least, some are being coated with coraline algae to the max.. 26 year old tank system 120 gallon, 100 gallon, and a 50 gallon fuge. Can I scrape clean hard coral plugs? Aka say monties..???? All the bottom of my plugs are also getting covered as well (sides) and tops of the frag plugs!. Inhibiting growth?.

.. But will does that affect the growth and spread of Zoas and Flowers..? All my snails are purple as well, kind of sucks. Please help me as I have never done any frags before.. Thank You so much Rod

As it can encrust once established, you may have to scrape it off or add an urchin to reduce it
