Help please, dog ate Mg test kit

My MG test kit was in the cabinet and I got home tonight and found the cabinet open and box torn open. She broke open the mg-2 and mg-3 and I'm not sure how much she digested. I can't find any info on what makes them up and so I can't tell the vet what she might have digested or research if it is toxic, can anyone help?

5ml of hydrogen peroxide will induce vomiting within 20 minutes max in dogs. I just did this with our dog who ate something he shouldn't have and within about 5-7 minutes he regurgitated it.

Hopefully you've gotten in touch with the manufacturer by now and found out what it was. If not, I think that there is an article on magnesium by Randy Farley that discusses the chemicals used in determining the amount.

This may not always be the best idea. If one of them was a strong acid, you can do more damage to the esophagus, whereas the stomach can usually handle it.

wow luckily our boxer hasnt done that yet!! he seems to like the fish food a lot better! hope it works out for the best!

Well, good news...she didn't have an reaction to the test kit. My thought is she probably didn't swallow too much of the chemicals. I watched her closely for a few days and there weren't any outward signs. Looking at all my test kits, the MG test kit is the only one that doesn't have a warning label "corrosive", etc. Other than being out the cash for the kit, everything is great. Thanks everyone for the responses.
