I noticed my baby hippo was swimming oddly this morning and she has tiny white spots on her. I'm in the process of setting up a HT for her now. What are good medicines to use for her? I am trying to find some on amazon because I can get it tomorrow. Thanks so much for any help.

Cupramine. Follow directions. Treat until Ich gone then 4 more weeks of QT.

I am not sure how bad the icy spots are, perhaps you can show a photo, but get a Skunk Cleaner Shrimp. They are fantastic at cleaning parasites off of tangs before they reach a dangerous level. My blue tang came up with some white spots when first introduced and they were gone within two days of letting the shrimp clean her.

if It's Ich, cleaner shrimp will do nothing. a fish can have Ich and not show white spots. copper, hypo-salinity or tank transfer are the only proven treatments. If the fish Is In your dt now then the tank Is Infected. remove all fish and let tank go fallow for 8 weeks. very small hippo's can be a problem. best to get them at 3-4".
