I picked up these clowns at the LFS and they looked clean and healthy, as i have been an avid lurker in the forums here for a while i followed the best practices and put them right into a ready to go QT. I treated them with Copper Power and Metroplex as outlined in the QT plans i see here.

Unfortunately they don't look very good. One in particular is very unhealthy looking. They act very normal, breathing looks fine, they eat anything i put in and they swim around fine. I moved them to new water and tried Kanaplex for the last 5 days and that seems to have made no difference except to make the water very cloudy. Please help let me know what to do. I have a pretty well stocked pile of medicines on hand and ready.

I am just getting back into the hobby after more than a decade so please be gentle :)

Looks like lymphocystis. Are those white areas cottony, fibrous, and maybe some cauliflower like in texture?

Adding Beta Glucan to your fish's food has shown to help with lympho.

Thanks for the assist, I think it does look like cauliflower a bit.

So I should do a water change, get some carbon in there with them and make sure its as clean and perfect as possible and feed them with enhanced food. I have selcon and i just ordered the beta glucan for overnight delivery.

What foods do you recommend and do i mix the BG with the selcon as well?

Using 6-8 different frozen fish cubes, place into a bowl and place into the fridge to "slump." Mix and then strain off the excess liquid. It will spike your nitrates and phosphates. Add to the mix a 1/2 capsule of BG + Focus and a bit of tank water to make the consistency you want to work with. The mix will stay good in the fridge for a few days. Once the fish has recovered, alternate weeks of adding the BG to the mix. ;)
