Hi I purchased a box with miscellaneous equipment a while back and there was a skimmer in it that I had no use for at the time. I am now setting up a larger tank with refugium and was hoping to use this skimmer as well but have no idea what I have or how this specific skimmer needs to be setup. Any idea of the brand so I can find setup instructions?

Just need a skimmer pump, a dc controllable pump with a needle wheel impeller and venturi to pull in air would be best. Probably 200-400gph would do fine.
double check that gph guess i made, could be way off..?

I have the everything that came with it but can't seem to find the venturi and can't seem to find replacements for sale.

In my experience the rio pumps work well for a long time. I did however replace all ac with dc pumps. I feel like less electrical current in the salt water is better for my safety and the animals nerves too. Also, dc have controlers and that will help you “tune” the skimmer. And on top of that most have “feed” timers/functions that turn off the skimmer for dosing or feeding, which i find very very helpful. (An overflowing skimmer is never good, and removing aminos before they are available is a waste)
BRS has some good videos on youtube about tuning skimmers
as i recall the rio had a venturi after the impeller, which is not very efficient. Most pumps now pull air i to the impeller to get “chopped” into smaller bubbles better for skimming

I just found the venturi but will definately consider upgrding the pump if not entire skimmer when its in my budget :)

Sicce makes a nice line of DC Skimmer pumps that are Wifi controllable, pick the correct GPH and you should be able to fit it I would imagine...
