Hello fellow reefers,

Ive upgrades my tank to a reefer 425 xl been cycled etc all parameters are as they should be (monitored frequently) but my Zoahs are not opening after being in the tank for nearly a week.

They have I would say moderate flow and par of around 75-100.

I've read on some forums they can take a few weeks to adjust and open their polps but thought I'd ask the question here to see if anyone has any thoughts?

Thanks!

What are your nitrates and phosphates? Anytime mine have not opened it has been due to really low nutrients
@MONTANTK - Ahh literally 0 as it went from 100 litre tank to 425 i kept around 60 litres of existing tank water but largely new water which could be the issue.

I am adding ab+ coral nutrition once a day and feeding twice daily so nutrients should be rising but might take a bit longer, think that's what it could be can't be anything else I don't think

That’s probably it. I wouldn’t worry though. I’ve had mine bottom out for weeks at a time and they always made a full recovery. Just don’t let any algae/Dino’s cover them and you’ll be good to go
