Help please

It is highly unlikely the Foxface is stinging them. They use their fins as defense only. My 2 cents is that your tank isn't finished cycling yet and you need to wait at least another month before you put anything else in there. And then put only one thing at a time

K I can do that the mystery to me tho is they stay in there for a couple weeks at least then they die n if it was an illness how come they all didn't die n stuff n the coral is growing like crazy

If its disease some of your fish may be strong enough to fight it off and fish diseases won't effect corals and inverts.

At this point you should get your own test kits and start testing regularly, so that you can start eliminating possibilities.

Agreed that you are going too quickly, only bad things happen quickly in this hobby.

I would also like to add that LFS's are notorious for bending the "params look fine" rule and giving bad advice. If you think about it, most every time someone looses something they go right out and buy another to replace it. Every fish you loose is another dollar in the LFS's pocket.... Sad but true.

I'm also wondering about the supplier of fish to the LFS, have you tried fish from only one source? Some fish collectors still do use cyanide to collect fish. It stuns them long enough to be collected and then in most cases the fish dies weeks later on.

What I would suggest you do is instead of spending more money on fish, spend the money on some good test kits. Go home test your water, and sit back and relax for at least a month before even thinking of adding another fish or coral.

That's a good point. I need a good test kit. Any suggestions? N fish wise I don't no where he gets them from but for sure know that it's usually on sale when ordered. I think I'm my worst enemy cus ill n the first to admit that I didn't start patiently as I should.as soon as I had the ok I just asked him for hardy fish n bought some

I won't trust LFS for water tests. I know most use cheap kits that are highly inaccurate. Buy Salifert kits and test yourself. My instinct tells me your tank has ammonia if fish is dying.

You can dose bacteria to speed up the cycling (turn ammonia, nitrite, to nitrate quicker). I use one and only by Dr. Tim (marine one). Not here to advertise. It works.

Can u send me a link of a test cit n ammonia cure thing too? I tried looking online but couldn't find any n don't wanna buy the wrong one

You can google. They are very well known. You will need other kits as you go to test nitrite, nitare, and phosphate. Alkanility, calcium, and magniseium if keeping corals.

LionHeart your doing great just by coming here with your questions :)
There are many reliable test kits out there. I personally used the API for 2+yrs with much success. It's also cost effective, especially for beginners.
Today I use the RedSea Pro for ca/alk/mag and API for ammonia/nitrates/nitrites.
Good luck and keep us posted :)

K I know what I need to do now which is mainly patience n buy the kits to do my own things.one more thing tho so my living room light being on right by the aquarium will that stress the fish ? Since I turn on living room lights after the aquarium ones go off at night time

Once you get your test kits for Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrite and PH - Post up your results to help us understand where your at and we can provide you with some more help.
