I just upgraded from a 75 gal canister filter tank to a 125 gal sump system. I transferred everything i have over currently and was wondering what i could do to get rid of this algae and what kind it is? I still have some new tank syndrome but im more concerned about what going on in the picture.
Thank you!

Pics are pretty blue but if its the strands you are referring to, may be bryopsis and will need to removed right down to the root with tweezers or pulled off with a dental pick or similar tool or it will keep coming back

This looks like Green Star Polyps ("GSP"), not algae. it is an easy to care for soft coral that will spread and form a "turf". If you don't like it, you can manually remove it with a razor blade. See below for an example of how it grows out:

Yes its the strands I'm talking about. Im still getting adjusted to the right light settings. You think i should have more white involved?

You can reduce white but will not stop it - removing the roots at the base will
