How oh how do I get this ugly stuff on my sand to go away? It is a 28g nano. I do 5 gallon water changes every week and top off with RO/DI from the LFS. Any suggestions? Thank you

Hard to tell from that shot what it is. ?? To much blue in the lighting.

Yea my phone probably isn't too good at pictures. It's really not that blue of lighting.

I just cleaned it all out with a net, did a water change and turned off the lights. See how that does in a few days.

Depending on what it was, lights out for 3 days would kill it, if it were algae.

That's what I was thinking. Lights out and some fresh salt water.

I have those too and if it is red, then I was told it is hard to get rid of. I use a fine net and started scooping it up and it took almost 2 months and finally got rid of them.

Mine isn't red, I know it's hard to tell from the picture. Mine is brown and light green.
