Hey guys I have a problem with my skimmer all the time now.
It works good for 3 to 4 days ... It pulls a Lot of crap out of the water... But then all of a sudden it overflows..
It keeps overflowing for over 30min.
Before it was overflowing in the sump, so I made a hole on the side of the cup and now it overflows to a bucket..
Couple days ago it overflowed the bucket and went all over my carpet.
I just got home from work today, and it was overflowing again...
My hands was not in the water.. I didnt dose anything besides the CA and ALK.
Could this be something a coral is releasing it?
I have an eshopp psk150 skimmer.
What could it be? Its very annoying...

How long do have this skimmer?
Can you provide a picture from your skimmer running in your sump.?

If the section of your sump doesn't have a constant water level that can effect it. The older eshopp skimmers had poor pumps on them that were prone to spiking and sputtering as it relates to gpu. Do you have the so I get on the return side, if that is clogged you will have this issue too

Nothing is clogged I checked

Last night i took everything a part and cleaned everything. I let the skimmer running on vinegar for one hour..
I raised the skimmer up two inches and a half.
Its been running for 24hrs already with no problem.
The bad thing is my carpet was soaked wet over 5 gallon of water overflowed...
Doesnt smell good either...

Feeding mysis in my tank has the opposite effect.....immediately afterwards the bubble level drops a good 4 inches and stays that way for about an hour. I am leaning more towards some type of additive? Adding ANYTHING to the tank water will often cause the skimmer to go crazy trying to remove whatever was added.
