Anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it. I have these fur balls growing in my sand. So one rocks and frags but not so bad. It’s mostly in the sand and fly all over the place when I try to get them out. I’ve tried everything from vibrant to gfo carbon more water changes less feeding but nothing. Last resort will be an Emerald crab but so many people say they eat and they don’t eat. Any help will be rewarded ha.

Kinda look like sea balls which are different types of algae that under certain conditions form spheres. Like the marimo balls of japan or ruppia balls of California. Would need to break apart and examine the strands that make it for an id on species though.

If it’s kinda tough , I’d guess a turf algae . Some ghas will donthat too

Green turf algae. I've got some in my tank and it sucks a lot. Nothing really eats it (emeralds touch it a little but don't do much). I even had a sea hare that wouldn't touch it.

Great. Thanks for the help. Taking everything out of tanks and I’m going to vacuumed them out. Thanks again
