Im not sure what's wrong with this clown. He was acting weird 2 days ago, so I transferred him to QT and started treatment with API General Cure, and now he looks worse. What's happening to him?!

Hi, well first of all you should never medicate without knowing what are you medicating for. Was he the only one acting abnormal? How are the water parameters? He doesn’t look good at all. I am sorry this is happening.

He was the only one acting weird. He had a white spot at the base of his tail, and after consulting the fish disease forums, I determined he possibly had flukes. He was breathing heavy and sitting at the top of the tank gasping for air. I began treatment on Friday by quarantining him. He looked good yesterday, started to go back to normal, and woke up this morning to find him lethargic and staying at the bottom of the quarantine tank. I don't have access to RODI water currently, and didn't want to FW dip him, due to fear of shocking him. I do use Seachem Prime when I do water changes, my parameters are all nirmal, and like I said, he was the only one acting wierd.

Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 10ppm

Tough to tell from the photo, but I’d say at least brook and an infection is likely, may even see ich spots. I can’t positively ID though.

Sorry for the loss :(

It's alright, it's part of having a reef tank. You win some, you lose some, but you gotta keep going!

You are right about that, and you took the steps to fix the problem, but is always good
to know the reason about why things happen, so you can get better and avoid the same situation again, if possible of course. Just my humble opinion :p
