It’s called spaghetti sponge

Looks like a type of sponge, it will feed off what ever it is eating and when it is gone it will die.

can you pull rocks and brush off in bucket of SW ? then rinse in sm bucket of SW ?
DO not do in tank .

You can always pull the rock out and expose it to air for a few minutes… that’ll ensure some die off as sponges can’t be out of water. BUT… they’re also good filter feeders. Maybe just try to remove some from the rock manually if they get out of control, but NOT in your tank as they can release toxins into the water column.
