Hey guys. Been struggling with this pest algae/bacteria. Tried all sorts of things including large water changes & chemiclean because i was thinking its cyano. Anyone have any idea what it may be and a solution to get rid of it? You can see it in the pics below, stringy looking stuff. Blows off easily with a Turkey baster.

From the pics it does look like a cyano. It could be a minor Dinoflagellate.

Is the tank kinda new?
What are nutrients at. Ph range, alk etc.


And what is that tall lps coral in the second pic. Its wild. Carribean I'd guess.

Hey. Tank is approaching 3 years so i wouldn't say new.

Yeah its a caribbean coral. Ivory bush i believe. Got it off of a buddy. Here is a better shot.
