I only have another small tank. I have 4 fish total, but only 1 seems to be affected. It's currently super late at night and I won't have those supplies till morning. Would a fresh water dip be okay? Or would that make it worse? Help...Hi! You can treat ich by placing your fish in a separate tank and put it in hyposalinity and copper treatment. Tank should be left without any fish for 76 days so that the parasite has no host and will die in your tank. A lot of goos articles here on r2r about the treatment.
Most of the time when you have ick in your tank, it will only be noticeable if there is some kind of stress involved. All your fish will have Ich by now, but their immune is still strong enough to not show any signs.I only have another small tank. I have 4 fish total, but only 1 seems to be affected. Okay. Should I move the clownfish back into the normal tank? Or keep him by himself in QT?Most of the time when you have ick in your tank, it will only be noticeable if there is some kind of stress involved. I would not freshwater dip your fish and would just leave it alone in order to not stress it out more. Keep him well fed and don’t play around too much in your tank.
Ich is not the same as marine velvet so don’t worry too much. You will have to treat the fish in order to get rid of the parasite, but it is not likely to die so quickly.
Get a good rest and go get some supplies whenever you have time to set it all up and start the treatment like it should be done. You could also go the ich-management way. In that case you leave the parasite in the tank and just pay extra attention to your fish nutrition and diet.
I know people who have had ich in their tanks for years. Don’t worry!
If it’s already separated, leave it in there. That way you don’t have to stress it out anymore by moving it again and trying to catch it later on. It’s good that it can get used to its new temporary home before being placed unser hypo and copper.Okay. Should I move the clownfish back into the normal tank? Or keep him by himself in QT?

If it is really ich and not velvet (can’t see a lot on the picture and its white body). It could well be that you don’t see any white spots anymore when you wake up. Could be behaving completely normal.Okay... Thank you. I'll try to get sleep. She seemed fine this morning, but now isn't.![]()
