I have a 12g nano I'm adding equipment to bit by bit. Here's what I have added already:

Phosban reactor
Steve's LEDs
Typhon driver for lights

Here's what I want to add:

Heater controller (I'm getting an Eheim heater)
ATO
RODI unit (on the fence, I only change a gallon a week)
pH monitor (also wonder if I need a continuous one)
Apex jr. (Thinking about it)

Money aside (although it is a factor), which of these are the most important in your opinion? My guess is the heater controller and the ATO for a tank this small. I get RODI water from a LFS but it has more TDS than I want, so I'm going to try distilled water in the meantime. I'm not really sure I need an apex but am interested in input. I plan to grow softies and LPS for now.

I would go ATO, Apex,Rodi in that order. Not sure what you mean by heater controller but the apex can control heaters on their own. Plus IMO eheim are very reliable and really don't need to be controlled unless you are OCD. :)

Thanks! I am OCD but I'll take your word for it. One less thing to buy works for me.

I have a low Ph problem due to co2 in the house. I'm starting to treat with kalk so we'll see. Would a continuous Ph monitor be important?

I would go ato, ro/di depends if you have a good source for ro/di water near you. With a 12g you won't be using a lot of water, What is your ph right now? If your wanting to get a controller you can skip buying the heater controller and ph monitor since you can get the addition for the apex for those purposes.

That makes sense. My Ph was 7.5 but I got it back up to 8.0 with kalk. My lfs ro water has 0.06 po4 and 7-10 TDS. I bought distilled water for the last batch and the salt dissolved much better. Since I only change 4-5g a month it's still really cheap. I have a handheld Ph digital Ph monitor now. I'll just make sure it's calibrated and use it until I can upgrade. Can a pinpoint Ph monitor from another company than apex still be monitored by apex or do I have to buy theirs? I only ask because an apex may not be in my budget for a bit.
