Once you get it setup and probes calibrated, it's pretty easy. I use the app almost exclusively.

If you have a firmware update available for your unit and haven't done any programing I would do it.

Yes! Don't connect any of the pabs and run the update. Good idea

You can also update the wifi module while you're at it, but it should update with the fw anyways

When you installed GCC software did you also have it install the com driver?

Inside of windows device manager of you expand the com ports do you see anything with a yellow exclaimation point?

I think he got GCC installed and running now.

Seperate note I wonder if GHL is working on a wireless initial setup for the p4 like they have now with the doser? It may be too complicated, but would be nice to avoid the mac/pc only discussions in the future. Lol
 
How long do firmware updates take? It has been updating for 20 minutes showing this screen.

Yes so that you can do the WiFi and web interface upgrade.
