Help pulling fish

Every time I add a fish it looks great for 5-6 days t
And then I get this
It only bothers the new fish I add
The other fish that have been in the tank are fine
I am thinking of pulling every fish and start a qt process
What do you think

What has your QT process been like? How are your tank parameters?

Looks like ich to me - which; yes - is something that would cause me (at least) to QT all the fish and leave the DT fallow for 76 days. Take a look at this thread for some options.

That's exactly what I did, just a few months after my return to the hobby.

The fish in your tank have developed an immunity to ich (assuming it's that, and not velvet... How long does it generally take a new fish to go from "having symptoms" to "lying still on the sand"? Do they become reclusive, or swim into the flow of a powerhead in the meantime?), but the fish you're adding don't possess that immunity, and the parasites are overwhelming them.

Setting up a QT and _at_least_ fully acclimating your new fish to your feeding regimen and conditions they'll encounter in your display - or removing all of your existing fish to QT and treating them for the parasites while allowing your display to run "fallow" (without fish) for 76 days - is probably the only way you'll ever add another fish to your current group.

Yes I would quarantine with copper or chloroquine phosphate and leave the tank fallow for 76 days.

Pictures are pretty grainy and I tend to agree with Bruce it looks like Ich but very well could be velvet. Either way this guy is swarmed. If it is velvet you need to act yesterday.

Should have done it from the beginning
So I have off toady and did this

Now what’s the trick to catching the fish lol

Fish traps can work but it takes awhile to catch them all. Otherwise, you almost have to pull your rock work apart to catch them.

Yup, you have the right idea.
