I got a Pulsing Sinularia almost a month ago. It’s been doing really good in my tank until a couple days ago when it stopped opening up.

Here is a picture two weeks ago

Here it is today:(

Calcium 500
KH 125.3
Phosphate 0
PH 8.2
Nitrate 5-10
Salinity 1.025

75 gallon tank with 15 gallon sump. Filter sock, carbon, biomedia balls, skimmer that hasn’t been working the past couple days. 2 Current USA IC pro lights. Any help would be great

I thought that as well because it looks shiny and the color still looks good. How long does it usually take?
Usually a day or 2 for mine. Also, I feel you need a little PO4.

big difference in all my softies when PO4 gets to low.

Increase water flow and reduce white lights and add blue

Why reduce whites and add blue?
I have some and they dont respond well to bright light and if you go to pic where the coral was full, Did you notice it was happy Versus unhappy in pic with whites?

We must be careful when telling someone to just change the lights. There is other stuff in the tank as well. It could be their light schedule, or just taking pics understand blues or whites to show the problem. Rapid
changes in spectrum can cause issues and by raising one and lowering the other, par may change as well.

my sinularia is under 12K spectrum and 200 par.

and then a shift to blues during ramp down

leathers very often get a bit moody when added to a tank and the current condition of the OP’s latest addition does not warrant any changes to anything yet. A couple weeks to acclimate with some good flow is all that is needed at this time IMO

The lights are actually the same in both pictures but I finally bought a filter for my phone to take the blue out. However I have wondered if my whites are too high, everything else seems happy so I didn’t change it, and like I said it just started a couple days ago.
