Hi guys. I’ve been trying to get this tank up and running since June. Finally time to aquascape. Any advice would sure be appreciated but maybe not executed. Here’s what I got so far and I like it. Also if it helps those experts I think I will be doing a mixed tank.

What size/type tank? Are you planning to cure before putting into tank? Negative space and flow are the most important aspects. Could the back be too straight?
They got cured in bleach for 2 weeks then water for 2 months. It’s a 120gallon tank. 4x2x2 and the scape goes about 2/3 high at the highest point. What do you mean by too straight?

Keep a couple inches off glass for cleaning, maybe pull one of the two middle pieces forward. Also check out the rule of thirds. It looks like you are pretty close and it might just mean adding another rock or two in strategic spots to vary the height a little more

Thank you. Ya I will def move it a couple inches away from the sides. I guess I will add a rock or two once I put it in the tank and take a look from afar

Just my 2 cents - I’ve scaped 2 tanks and both times I wish I would have had more open spots for the sand bed for low light corals that I didn’t want on my rock structure.
that’s been my main regret in both tanks.
Both times I used overhangs and realized that they can cast a pretty big shadow sometimes to where you lose useable space for coral on the sandbed

True. It’s actually my first tank EVER and has taken me forever to set up. I think I liked the look of the structure the way it is. If I like the hobby and the process I’m planning on going BIG within the next 1-2yrs so I think I should be ok til then but it’s good to know these things for sure. Also I can remove some the rocks sitting on the sand pretty easily even later on
