Have a 65 gallon C250 Red Sea reef, with fish that has been running successfully for about three years, until two weeks ago. Set up a Bubble Magus dosing pump with one line dispensing NoPox, which I previously been doing by hand every day. Not sure but I think a line clogged and didn't dose for about 10 days. During this time I lost a 4 1/2" Red Margin Fairy Wrasse. Checked water and found that nitrates rose from about 5 ppm per week to approx 20 - 30. Can't find the dead Wrasse without ripping down the tank, which I don't want to do. Resumed dosing NoPox manually daily using 6 1/2 ml's. Have done two 25 % water changes once a week from doing every two weeks. Also bought more Fire Red Shrimps, Snails and crabs hoping they will consume the Wrasse. Lastly, also have been using one package of Chemi Pure Elite and Poly Filter which is changed religiously. Nitrates are now about 20+ and all corals and fish look great. Question is how do I get the nitrates back to about 5 or less ppm?
