Just got a new coral and was acclimating it and noticed these things. There are a few of them. I need to know if they are harmful or not. If they are I am just tossing the coral.

Well I don't know what they are since I don't have any coral yet but why not try a coral dip. Doesn't seem right to toss a living creature out because it has a bug IMO

Oh ok well I'm gonna follow along to see what others have to say. Let the learning continue :)

I'd dip it, if you've got things falling off of it now, you definitely don't want it in the DT.

Need a better pic.
Were they all the same as that one or a bunch of different things?
And I would double dip it

It was a acro. That was the best picture I could get. I sat there for 10 minutes on my phone trying to get a good picture. I dipped it again and nothing else fell off of it after swirling it around and squirting it with a turkey baster. Still no idea what they are.

be careful with the acro dont dip it too much but i would pick up some coral rx and dip all your new coral when you get them. Better safe then sorry.

I'm having trouble with the picture, hard to tell. I would put the coral in a container with fresh sw, or sw from the tank, and a power head for some light flow. Get a id before it makes your dt. Ideally you should qt all coral and fish before going into your display, although this is best practice, it's not common.
