I recently purchased an SRO 2000int skimmer. I love it, but am always looking for ways to make my system quieter, and the water just dumps out of the output and splashes in sump. I've tried to find a fitting to attach to the gate valve, so water exits below sump water level, but nothing fits. If anybody has this model or the 3000, 5000, etc... and have found a solution, please share. TIA

That would be the only way that I can think of to silence the output of that skimmer. I have a friend doing it with his SRO5000 INT, but I'm not sure what he's doing.

If you can find a piece of PVC (elbow, or what-not) that's just a "tad bit" bigger, you could use Teflon Tape (plumbers tape) to fill in the gap. You'll, obviously, have to readjust your skimmer after setting up that "downspout" since your water release will be more restricted.

Any way, good luck! I've never owned one of these skimmers, but have heard good things about them.
