How long ago did you get him? Other fish in tank? Water parameter?Hey guys, i recently picked up a small randalls goby. He has is own little cave and he seems to be comforatble. However he does not eat. I am worried about him and any help is appreciated.
I have had him for 3 days now. I have a pair of clownfish in the tank as well as two peppermint shrimp. All the paramaters are perfect, no changes at allHow long ago did you get him? Other fish in tank? Water parameter?
It’s possible he’s still adjusting to the tank. I don’t find it likely he’s being bullied, but may feel outcompetes for food do to shyness. Are you feeding sinking pellets, frozen foods, both?I have had him for 3 days now. I have a pair of clownfish in the tank as well as two peppermint shrimp. I am feeding a mix of frozen mysis and sinking pelletsIt’s possible he’s still adjusting to the tank. I don’t find it likely he’s being bullied, but may feel outcompetes for food do to shyness. Are you feeding sinking pellets, frozen foods, both?
My only other hypothesis would be that the mix may be too big for him, and to try brine shrimp instead. However, if he’s not eating the pellets either, size may not be the issue. It may be worth a shot just to test something else! Or to maybe even crush up the pellets to smaller, easier to eat pieces. IMO, I think it’s still adjusting to the tank and should hopefully start eating within the next day or so. Maybe someone else on here has another ideaI am feeding a mix of frozen mysis and sinking pellets
