Depends why it's receding.. Might help to post some more information
Water parameters
amount of light and flow
how long you have had it
Some photos under white light
etc etc
The more info the better to diagnose what might be going on. If can figure that out then correcting it should halt the problem unless it's some sort of infection which is much harder to deal with.
