Hi Everyone,

Im in the need of a little help here. I have a small 30 Gallon that ive had for over a year. Recently I added a new AI Prime and used calibration settings I found online, recommended to me by a local reefer. Since I added this new light ive had issues, and its been about 3 months.

1. Im producing red algae extremely fast
2. My Zoa and other coral seems to be having issues
3. I also have almost feather duster type something growing out of my rock....

The photos you see are after a 5 gallon water change I did 4 days ago. I change my water every 2-3 weeks. 1 Month ago I did a larger 10 gallon change thinking this may help.

The only thing I can think is that its my light. My parameters are stable.

Alk- 8.0
Ammonia- 0
Nitrite- 0
Nitrate- 10
Temp- 76

I have attached my AI Prime settings in the photos below.

I don't measure Calc and Mag.

Please help :)

I also think its the light . You can try different levels of each spectrum and see what works.

That looks like aiptasia to me. They will definitely tick off your corals especially the zoas if they are going between the polyps

Hey Bayareareefer 18.... 100% that is what it is Aiptasia. THANK YOU SO much.

I would imagine based on the response I need to adjust my light and rid my aquarium of the aiptasia.

Im going to work on those two things and see how it goes :).
