HELP - REEFER EMERGENCY DRAIN PIPE NEEDED

Pipe cracked at base, SPS tank out of commission. Looking for anyone who has a spare emergency upper drain pipe for reefer 450, I’m in NJ - please help!!!!!

Brian, Got a pic for us? Give us an idea of your problem. is this inside an over flow or something?

It’s the screw in part of the top drain pipe. Literally just cracked at the base

Trying some hot glue so I can temporarily keep it in there since the overflow doesn’t appear to be water tight and if that emergency pipe opening doesn’t have the pipe in it, the tank will slow drain into the sump!!

Please help!!!

Try calling your local dealers. It sure doesn't look like a part you'll be able to cobble together at Lowes.

That looks like good candidate for super glue. The new stuff is amazing.

Problem solved, Amanda @redsea was great and got me the emergency drain overnighted. I did a ton of reading, debating best way to make the seal on the reefer - many use Teflon, silicone, etc. but I had two new o-rings in the two pieces and with a little tweaking, I got both sealed nicely with no additional materials. Stressful day but all is well and we’re back up and running again!

I'm glad they got you fixed up. I've had good experiences with the people at Red Sea America. With two Reefer 450s in the house, I decided to buy spares for all of these plumbing components (and a spare ATO reservoir too.) It would be nice if there were a website where you can order this stuff, but I'm ok with talking to an actual person now and then.
