A safer way and natural is to add a long spine urchin or any urchin. They will strip your tank or coraline algae. Because it’s acrylic, use the window scraper made for them, but if you do it daily, then the coraline won’t have time to form.

As you and I have stated, keep it clean daily to stop any buildup

Absolutely...lesson is learned...with all this energy I have to put in in order to get it off....Once you have it removed, clean the glass weekly to keep stuff from coming back so you don't need to 'scrape' again
