help removing a tank brace

help removing a tank brace and the tank is 60x24x24 it's erobrace on the top and bottom is it safe it is 1/2'' glass

those are usually there for a reason, they don't waste the glass and labor for no reason...
 
your best bet is to silicone another piece over the top of it or take that one out and put another piece in its place
 
+1 above, just silicone another piece to it, it'll be the easiest way. I've taken them completely off in the past and replaced the whole thing, I had no problems with that but I've heard that some people have had issues with it. So I personally would silicone another piece to it. Good luck!
 
I got the from someone and I got home it slip out of my hand the tank was was droped it was it was build the same build with no brace when it fell it had no brace in the mid.when the tank was rebuild now they put a brace the tank is euro brace top and bottom
60x24x24 the bottom has a 2.5 brace for the whole bottom and the top and on the top in the corners it has a pices of glass made and cut in a 45 under the two side of the bracing
