Got a carpet Amemone about 2 months ago and it was doing amazing up until I put a peppermint shrimp in about 3 weeks ago. It started to hide under a rock and now it’s expelling white/brown stuff and it’s mouth looks white. I was wondering how I should get it out because it is currently under a rock in a place I can’t reach.

Sorry for the bad photos but the app I have has trouble lighting dark spaces.

Can you trap the shrimp and see if the Ben will recover?

I could but the only reason I had the shrimp was for aiptasia control and it has done a fantastic job so far! This is also the only this one my tank that it bothers. I have also hear that carpet nems can nuke tanks so I would prefer to just get rid of the anemone.

Well it looks like the shrimp lost its battle with the carpet anemone. I’ve checked al of my parameters and everything stayed the same. I saw the carpet anemone releasing some brown stuff so I’m not sure if that’s the reason why it died. I guess we’ll see if it recovers or not.
