Doing an upgrade and thinking of going led/t5 from just T5. I am contemplating the Mars aqua with a T5 on both sides. I already have the T5, and this is the only price range the wife will approve. It is going to be SPS dom with only my favorite LPS and Clams making th move to a 40 Breeder.

Questions are:

What would be enough? Should i go with 1 or 2 165W?

Or, go with 1 300W?

Its my fathers day present so i have to do it right the first time.

TIA

Sbreeflight. Do it right the first time. About the same price.
Yea the 300w 30/32in models.

The 300 watt is a perfect fit over a three foot tank. 165 is too short, and two of them are too long!

Ran a 300 for a year over a 65, which is the same footprint but taller - now have two over a 220.

Have heard good things about the SB, so maybe look into that as well?

If you run into the need to upgrade the board I would look at the sb. It really is weird how good some of the results are.
