I rescued a poor indigo hamlet.. I have the fella in it’s own tank right now but it’s so skinny :( I just need to know what the best diet would be for this poor thing.. I don’t want to overload it with food but I’ve never ever had a skinny fish before other than a baby tang. It’s in its own tank currently with dim lighting because I know when are an ambush predator but I just felt so bad for the poor thing.. the store just wasn’t feeding it from my understanding because as soon as I threw in pellets (Nyos Wild Goji) it swam right to it and ate them! But I just want to know the BEST way to fatten this fella up.

Thank you! Do you think the pellets are good to throw in at times too? NYOS claims they are organic and help a fish’s digestive system

IF it is eating them I would feed them to him. Add in other meaty foods and it will probably swell up in no time. Don't rush to make the fish fat, just feed it and let it grow slowly.
