Help running cables through wall

I plan on running all the cables through the wall to the other side as to keep the plugs and apex away from the tank incase of spills. I have a pretty good idea on how to do this, but i cant for the life of me figure out what the "cover" is called (kind of like an electrical outlet) that keeps the opening clean on both sides that you run the cable through.

Second question, what tool can i use to help fish cables through the wall?

Third, Im sorry I am unable to find the answers i need on google, I just dont know what things are called to find the proper how to's.

Google hidden tv cable kit. That will bring up lots of options. If you are just going straight through to an a joining room use a wire coat hanger. If your going up or down a level you're going to want a fish tape.

Are you just going directly to the opposite side without going left/right/up? They sell pass throughs like this

You'll want a fish tape to help get through the wall. I used desk covers for my apex wires

I just drilled through both walls and used a piece of PVC pipe to run cables through. They make "pretty" covers like what's used behind sinks to dress up the penetration. Since I was going from conditioned to non-conditioned I also spray foamed the inside of the PVC when I had all the cables where I wanted and then the area around the PVC inside the wall.

I think I've seen them called escution plates?
I think last time I checked it was E.B. Bradley that makes things like computer desk cover plates and escution covers

these are what i use most of the time.. They make one that comes away from the wall.. One that is recessed . I turn them upside down and use a network cable remodel box. they are open inside.

upside down you cant see the hole in the wall unless your at eye level... OHH Easy to install and Cheap..

Thanks for all the help! Found a simple box at home depot that worked out and was large enough! Doesnt have a face plate but Its going to be behind the tank so not really a problem!

A low voltage ring or bracket is what I use. Then just a standard empty wall plate, or you can get fancy and get one with a hood.
