So about 6 days ago i had a tank crash....needless to say my 2 tangs, 2 clowns 1 damsel died. I had 2 sps frags that went up in smoke before I could say "up in smoke". I need help saving my nem which doesnt look good by any means and remaining corals. The last test I did was a few hours ago and the levels were amonia-.5 ph- 7.8+ rites-0 rates-30 ppm . any advice would be great! Im ready just to put fresh saltwater in a buucket and put everything in it until this tank levels out. Funny thing is that the hermit crabs and 1 snail survived when usually ive heard they are the first to go

No expert here, I had a tank crash, I think we all have at one point. Your ammonia levels and your ph levels need to be fixed. I can only tell you what I would do or try not saying it's the best maybe someone has a better option. Try a 30,40 or 50% water change. I also got this product that is a ph buffer. I like it. It's called aquavitro 8.4. I think seechem makes it. You may also want to check the rest of your level. Check the salinity. And see what else you're reading for your kH and your Cal.
Start w a water change. Get the water your changing to a good level hopefully that will give you strong start point.
How large is your tank?

75 I'm doing at least a 50g wc today, maybe more hopefully that helps. It's odd because there's still a few crabs, a snail and most of my corals left.......everyone says my tank wasn't done cycling but I know it was I guess it was just overloaded with the clowns and nem that were put in at this point I just want to save my corals

Similar thing happened to me. I was at a 6mo mark and was just getting destroyed w algae and then had a crash that killed all fish and a coral or two. Most of my crabs and snails survived. Hopefully the water change will help. There could be a lot of other factors too that are playing into it. You may not be getting enough oxygen exchange and that could effect your ph. Or even another over looked factor is magnesium levels. That will balance out a lot of other levels. Hard to say.
I'm sure the major water change will help. Try to get the levels of the new water balanced. What equipment are you running? Do you know why your ammonia levels were high? Nitrates? Nitrites?

I assume my ammonia was high to begin with because the nem and clowns were added. I first noticed a problem when most of the snails died at the same time then that night the fish. Stupid me I didn't check levels like I should have. After I added the stock. The nem is still alive but barely it looks like a skeleton for the most part but it responds to light trys to bubble up a bit I'm hopeful but my guess is when I go down to turn light on he won't be....I don't wanna go downstairs. :(

Just looked he's still alive but I'm assuming not for long

Well if you don't think it's gonna make it. You may want to consider taking it out of the tank and euthanizing it humanly. It can cause even more damage if it does die and is left in the tank. Sorry this is happening. It sucks all around.

ill be watching it, theres no fish in the tank it is in right now...i had a second 30 gallon tank as a quarantine . just a few corals in it

Don't just take my advice though. Try to get as much as you can.

The system is stressed. Run carbon to get the ammonia down and slow down on the water changes. That will only stress the system more. Throw a vitamin c table in the water to help with the stress
So the help with answers here what I have so far
tank size is 75g
Lost fish
Parameters
ammonia .5
Nitrates 30
PH 7.8
Ca?
Mg?
Alk?
Tank age?

Answer some of these questions and we can be a better help

My PH has been running low for three months:eek:, your PH is fine:)

then why does everyone say wc, wc, wc, every day if you have to. im getting so many mixed reviews.

More than one way to skin a cat man, just trying to help. What works for one person might not work for you and my opinion is I'd rehome, stop making dramatic changes constantly start over with what you have. Hope it comes together for you.
