Hi,
Yesterday I noticed my trachyphyllia wasn't doing to well, everything seemed to be okay until yesterday I noticed it was either bleaching or showing skeleton. I moved it too a lower light and lower flow area of the tank so see if this helped as it had been sat in my sand below an MP10. Today however I would say it looks worse, there seems to be a stringy looking substance attached to it and I've just noticed something attached to the plug I hadn't seen before today. I'm not sure if it's aptasia or another pest. There's also what I think is a feather duster attached to the plug but I don't think this would cause any problems. Any help would be appreciated. I've put images below of the coral when it looked health, how it looks now and the pests.

( Aptyasia? It's black in colour and it has two long tentacles and when it fully comes out a few tiny tenticles)

Not aiptasia for sure
I will say a brittle star
But the real problem is the tracky tissue above it .it seem a bacterias infection could you post better pics of the tissue

I wonder....it looks like a mojano sorta. But that doesnt account for the second polypy looking thing beside it.

Can you try to superglue it? let it retract and then just superglue the hole it comes out of.
Thats how I take care of aiptasias in my frags.

Are you talking about the last picture? That's a feather duster.

What's the best course of action if it's a bacterial infection? Iodine dip? And could this effect other corals and fish

Mine looked like that before i lost it. My clown was trying to host it and it was gone in a week. Now the little ******* is doing it to one of my brains.

I'm hoping I can stop it before that happens, haven't seen anything pester it and all my parameters are good. Any ideas on what I can do.
