The ricordea Florida I picked up During the WWC live auction on R2R is not happy.... dying. Zoa, chalice, favia, lepto, birdsnest, and acro introduced at different times are all doing ok. It received a coral Rx dip then into the frag rack for a week, then onto the sand bed. It’s gotten smaller and smaller since about day 5. What’s my next move?

I don’t have any advice for you, I’m sorry. I hope someone can help you save it.

It seemed to be unhappy with medium light and medium flow so I moved it to the sand bed. It continued to be unhappy so I put it in a nearly shaded area. I guess it’s time to hit it with high flow and light. It’s pretty clear it’s going to die anyway. Super frustrating.

I had some richordia melt away after being in my tank for years. Didn’t like my lights at that time. Seem to have better luck these days. Seems like you tried everything, just make sure you give it time with each change.

This is just my experience, limited at best, but I've had ricordea die and do well. When they died I was running predominantly blue lights (like the rest of the world) then I decided I hating the color of the lights and how it made actually seeing anything impossible, was too important to ignore, I changed to predominantly white light 10k-15k, 15k dominant with one blue plus.
My ricordia, even my orange blue and pink one have been exploding in growth.
But that's just my tank.
