I want to say skeleton. It's white, but the sizes are yellow/brown.

Frag a few pieces and toss the rotting ends, you'll have a better chance..haha and rename it the Phoenix frag if it comes back cause that looks bad

Depart the rock and give it a 3min coral dip. Make sure there is no dead part on it anymore.

I'm not sure if you can just remove montipora from the rock it's on.

Ive had a monti get stung by a chalice after falling on it. I left it and it healed it self, ive seen plenty of montis grow back over them selves. I persinally wouldleave it. Make sure parameters are right and stable and feed per normal schedule. I use coral frenzy twice a week with fuel

You leave the monti on the rock, you break the rock. Make sure no dead coral on the healthy part. I do it many times and I had luck and it survive.

I think for today I'm going to leave it but elevate it. See what it looks like tomorrow evening.

I've put the tank on top of some rocks and put a smaller platform on top of the frag platform. I also moved it closer to the LEDs. I also got the weakest power head I own and put it so it was pushing water right past but not directly at the coral. Hopefully the LEDs and the other lights will keep it alive long enough to get to my new tank with 216 watts of LED light.

It seemed like the browning increase has stopped. I didn't have a long to look at it before work though.

I have some strong LEDs for my new tank, and some extra power heads and heaters laying around. Do you think it would be better or worse to mix a few gallons of new water with a little tank water and set it up in a bucket with the new LEDs?

Water change is good but do not go over 26 degree with the temp. Also check that she have enough light but not to much with your "new" LEDs otherwise it can burn the alive part. Hope she made it and you have fun with her. You already know what type of Monti it is?

I saw it in the store months ago when they had their act together. It was the most wonderful yellow color.

Sorry for the blurry photo. I was just wondering if those polyps were ok?
